This episode is all about "information overload" and how it's frying our brains and by our brains I specifically mean mine.
What is information overload?
The term “information overload” was coined by Bertram Gross, the Professor of Political Science at Hunter College, in his 1964 work – The Managing of Organizations.
What does that mean?
Gross defined it as “Information overload occurs when the amount of input to a system exceeds its processing capacity. Decision makers have fairly limited cognitive processing capacity. Consequently, when information overload occurs, it is likely that a reduction in decision quality will occur.”

Here's a funny photo about our obsession with information.
Why should you care?
Because, intake of information at this rate is not sustainable. Our attention spans are shortening and research shows that even our IQ's are dropping because of information overload. For your own sanity, you should probably cut down on the amount of information intake, an information diet if you will. Do it before you drive yourself mad. Seriously. DO IT.
