Distractions, worry, and doubt come to abort the task before you and ultimately your destiny. Check out these three simple steps to get back your focus and help you to finish the year strong!
Scripture Gem: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." ~ Matthew 6:33
This passage in Matthew 6:33 holds wisdom as simple as ABC for how to get back your focus and finish strong this year. This scripture gem shows us that we must A. turn, B. worship, and C. ask God to help us refocus and finish the year strong.
A. Turn
The first practical step to finishing strong is to turn your focus to God. Distractions, worry, and doubt comes to zap your energy and get your eye off of God's plan for your life. It's to get us feeling ungrateful and down and out.
Reflection: When I feel distracted, worried, or feeling low in energy, what is my initial reaction?
Everyday Wisdom: So, every time I feel distracted: TURN my face up to God and say THANK YOU GOD!
B. Worship
Disappointment comes to steal our testimony of God. We must speak back to God what we know to be true about Him. This will help us to expect God to move in our situation.
Reflection: What is your favorite worship song?
Everyday Wisdom: So, every moment you feel distracted: take time to worship God!
C. Ask
Distractions, worry, and doubt comes to make us toil. God has done all the heavy lifting for us, all we have to do is ask Him for the next steps to help us accomplish our task and ultimately fulfill our destiny.
Reflection: Pray and ask God what is one immediate task you should do today to help you finish the year strong.
Everyday Wisdom: So, everyday: ask God for the immediate or most important task for you to accomplish today!
Put these steps into practice every day and your journey to seeing the rewards of your salvation and to live your best life will begin.
