Episode 4: How killing a patient got me into CRNA school (and how to trim your story)

Listen Later

A lot of people have requested to hear what I wrote about for my personal statement. In this episode, I will be telling you the story of how I killed a patient, and how I used that story to illustrate my career interests in managing patient safety. It's important to recognize that you can't talk about everything in your personal statement - pick the items that make for a linear story, and leave out everything else. It's okay to cut from your personal statement, that's what the paper application is for.
I've also been working on some YouTube videos on my experiences in CRNA school, as well as some of my reflections on the CRNA school admission process. Check them out here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4KsSkIcW_zc6ejpeuQdLLQ
