Episode 4: How To Make FEAR Work For You

This week we’re discussing the fear that often people experience when venturing into the unknown, whether that’s posting on social media and that fear of rejection or criticism, or deeper rooted into fear of trying something new in a career. The points we cover this week are:

People generally tend to not evaluate the risk of not doing something, when they are scared to make that first step. What are the implications of not doing that thing, and potentially staying where you are for the next 10, 15 or 20 years - would that bring you happiness or regret?

Analysis: Evaluate the factors you will need to take into consideration in order to make your idea a success. What kind of person do you need to be, where do you need to skill up, and what do you need to watch out for? Knowing what you need to do to succeed will help ease that discomfort in taking the first steps.

Skill up to improve yourself - if you don’t dedicate enough time or energy to your goal, it may not come to fruition. Execute your idea, pay attention to the results you’re getting, then adjust accordingly and move forwards.
