In a nutshell, I chose to work in a niche area because I have specific expertise, and there is a client base for that expertise. There is only one me; no one else in the world can do what I do like I do, so I've eliminated a lot of competition. This allows me to charge a higher rate, too and of course, there are wonderful referrals.
