On November 13, 2022, four University of Idaho students—Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin—were brutally stabbed to death in their off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho. The shocking crime left the community in fear and led to an extensive investigation. After more than a month-and-a-half, Bryan Kohberger, a 28-year-old criminology Ph.D. student from Washington State University, was arrested on December 30 in Pennsylvania. His arrest followed the discovery of his DNA on a knife sheath left at the crime scene and surveillance footage of a white Hyundai Elantra linked to him.
