For my fourth episode, I interview my mother Kristy. Kristy was born in the US but moved to Mexico after marrying my father. Over the course of thirty years, their marriage moved from a situation of coercive control, to physical and financial abuse. It all culminated in the attempted femicide of my mother at the hands of people hired by my father. My mother and I have this conversation a few months after this event and we talk about some of the impacts to the family.
