Light was created on Day 1. The sun doesn’t show up until Day 4. This episode explores what that strange order means. In a world full of sun worship, Genesis makes a radical claim: the sun is not the source of light. It’s just a light-bearer. A lamp. God made light before he made the thing that carries it.
