From there, they discuss: some explanations for how Jesus works to "put us right with God"; the need for us to be put right, since in our fallen nature we find ourselves in a "hole" from which we cannot escape on our own; Lewis' belief that there are three primary things that spread new life into us and help us to maintain it (baptism, belief, Lord's Supper); some common objections sometimes heard as to "why God chose to do it this way."
