Cartoon Night in Canada

Episode 4 - NFB Showcase #1: Big Drive and Neighbours

Listen Later

On this weeks episode, Chris and Sylvie begin a side series exploring the vast archives of animation that is the National Film Board of Canada. While discussing the importance of the NFB and it's impact on the discussion and production of animation in Canada, we also chat about two films produced through the organization, while flying off on weird tangents about "yeeting," French Painters, Canadian geography, war propaganda, and so much more.

Films covered are Norman McLaren's Neighbours (1952) and Anita Lebeau's Big Drive (2011).
