Steelo GQ and Black Dev team up with African American actor Armie Hicks jr. on a discussion of whether celebrities should speak out on social issues. Armie gives insight as an up and coming actor/producer the climate of the decision-making process in entertainment. The risk he took being involved in the Charlotte protests for injustice and how his stance on “Black Lives Matter” is more important than being blacklisted. The episodes reflect on cases from different celebrities across the spectrum who have either had a greater success or became blacklisted for speaking out. As history repeats itself we dabbled into whether it’s time for more of a social consciousness and greater respect for our differences in America.
