True Kingdom living belies political agendas of the day. Jesus is clear that to follow him is to shed allegiances to other powers, including Rome. To use current parlance, the Kingdom of God is neither left nor right of center, but an entirely different way of living, and a faithful Christ follower will frustrate partisans on both sides. Key to public life as a Christian is a proper understanding of the end, which the Bible describes as of the kingdom of God.
