What determines who gets to be a doctor? When it comes to physician training, we often forget about the population that feeds into the system. The premeds may be more critical to our future physician pool than we think. How come when it comes to premed education, efforts have been lackluster and haphazard? This week's shorter episode is a semi-impromptu audio essay about a topic that I've been dwelling on for a while now. While the essay is not fully realized, I hope it gets some of you thinking more.
