I recently attended the bachelorette party of my brother’s now wife. We had a great time at the spa and having dinner downtown, but some of the conversations we had really got me thinking about marriage and some of the flat out lies that people believe and tell people who are joining the marriage club. Like the lie that the first year of marriage is like one big giant honeymoon. It’s hard, y’all, real hard. We also discussed couple’s therapy and thoughts of getting a divorce. *Heads up: There’s some light cursing if you want to listen without little ears around.
