After succumbing to the then fatal disease that is tuberculosis, Elena was removed without any authorization from her grave by none other than Carl Tanzler, an older man that is focused on reviving her in ways that are not backed by any kind of science. Seven years pass by with her patched up remains "resting" on his bed - still a corpse, still being an unwilling corpse bride.

This is an episode about an obsession that goes well beyond the grave.
