Trackademicks breaks down some of his earliest productions with his first big supporter Oakland MC Mistah F.A.B., and how having a different production approach worked in his favor. Oakland’s Youth Radio program once again makes its presence felt as Trackademicks recounts being involved with the program in its earlier days when it was located in Berkeley CA. After adopting Kanye’s mantra “5 beats a day for 3 summers”, Trackademicks created a foundation that would put him in positions to thrive as a producer in a very competitive space and creating a “Tell me when to Go” remix that would hold down the radio and the streets.
