Chipeta used her own experiences, strengths, and talents to find a place for herself and her people in a changing world. She showed character through extremely turbulent times in US History, advocating for her people and for peace. National Leaders and Tribal chiefs alike came to Chipeta for her wisdom and advice.

Let's remember her name, try to be brave and strong, and always advocate for peace.
