Welcome to the Things That Shape Us podcast. My name is Jonathan Wymer and I'm joined by James Gary to discuss a various range of subjects that are all related to one idea: How those things shape our lives.

James and I discuss ONE THING that shaped our lives. Apparently the average for human sleep takes up almost 33% of our life. Why not talk about something that is so profound in our growth, health, and creative processes? James and I delve deep into the REM sleep of this topic as we discuss it's effects on our health and how we still try and be productive and focused on very little of it. There are bedtime stories (some that actually keep us up at night) and ways of incorporating white noise to drown out our overactive minds, and then there's additives or supplements that help us achieve the healthy amount of sleep. It's all a dream in this conversation, so grab a pillow? Don't fall asleep listening. We promise it's not boring.
