We must come to a point where we can get before God and say, "I spread out my hands to You; my soul longs for You like a thirsty land" (Psalm 143:6). We will never have a close relationship with God until we thirst after Him. That is why Jesus said, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink." This episode reminds us of the importance of thirsting for God.
