Rodney Barnes returns to Star Wars comics with his second series this year, adaptating the Ahoska Disney+ TV show. Though it, like the prior Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi adaptations, is a word-for-word telling of the series, the artwork by Steven Cummings, Wayne Faucher and Rachelle Rosenberg and letters by VC's Travis Lanham makes this issue, indeed this eight-issue mini-series, worth having.

Zeen and Lula come to a momentous decision, albeit independently of one another, in The High Republic Adventures Phase III #7 by Daniel José Older, Harvey Tolibao, Le Beau Underwood and Elisabetta D'Amico, Michael Atiyeh and Comicraft's Tyler Smith and Jimmy Betancourt. Readers are also treated to a new member of the Tarkin (yes, that Tarkin) family as Krix Kamerat takes a major gamble.

• In his latest LegalDispatch (subscribe here: https://marcguggenheim.substack.com), Marc Guggenheim says he's working on "a script for a new Star Wars comic ..." but adds it's not the Rik Duel gang, though they will have their day, eventually.
• In his latest newsletter, Charles Soule says Star Wars (Vol. 3) #50, due out Sept. 11, is structured "like its own graphic novel" and broken into chapters. He also be doing more Star Wars after the issue and the "Trials of the Jedi" novel.
• Dark Horse Comics' The High Republic Adventures -- Echoes of Fear #1 (of 4) is now due out Sept. 4 instead of Aug. 21.
• There are early peeks at Inquisitors #2 and #3 on the Facebook page.
• Ahsoka #1 and Inquisitors #1 are getting 2nd printings due out Aug. 21.
