Do you ever feel like giving up?

That’s such a vague question, right? “Do you ever think about giving up?”

But, when I hear it, I think of something specific. I think of this direction that I want to go with my life: I think of this thing that I want to become. And, I don’t really know how to define it but I know there’s a direction; I know what my desires are; I know what’s in me trying to become reality.

And in the past I’ve believed that I’ve had to just ‘fit a mold,’ and just become something that is ‘expected of me.’

But, I no longer believe that that’s the appropriate way forward.

I believe that everyone deserves to be seen.

Everything I do and create is an extension of who I am, and this show and my photography work are very closely related.
