A D.C. Hearing Committee is recommending a six-month suspension for a lawyer who inappropriately altered a previously signed and notarized deed and tax form in an effort to gain a tax advantage for the client.

(3)  THE EARLY BID -- Most Creative Billing

The Louisiana Attorney Discipline Board recommends a six-month suspension for a lawyer who negligently overbilled clients for depositions he didn't attend and charging them for travel expenses that he never incurred.

(4)  MISS CONGENIALITY -- Ms/Mr Uncongeniality Award

A Florida lawyer received a public reprimand for making "unprofessional" and "sarcastic" remarks in several matters.
