In Episode 41, Stuart welcomes Tim Nagle back to discuss the Statewide Classification Committee. The Statewide Classification Committee relates to the issues that the union raised in the discussion for the Nurses & Midwives agreement, that specifically addressed the classification of staff. One of the limitations of the previous agreement was that the classification structure didn’t neatly cover all staff and certainly didn’t accommodate emerging roles. The problem that is being resolved in the new agreement is where similar roles in different organisations are being classified differently, and the dispute that this raises with no clear path for resolution.
