On today's episode of Barstool Bench Mob, the most anticipated National Championship in over a decade is finally set. We finally get our Gonzaga-Baylor matchup and it's thanks to Jalen Suggs' buzzer beater. This is why we love college basketball.
Our Final Four recap starts with the game of the tournament, and maybe the decade, as the Bulldogs outlast UCLA in overtime (03:32). The game was incredible from start to finish and boy, did we need a good game. Without this game, would the tournament have been a disappointment? It was an unbelievable effort from the Bruins but Jalen Suggs last-second heave keeps the undefeated season alive for the Zags. Where does UCLA's Mick Cronin rank among current head coaches? Should Gonzaga be concerned with Corey Kispert's struggles?
On the other side of the bracket, Baylor steamrolled Houston and the Bears look to be in peak midseason form (22:35). Jared Butler had his best game of the NCAA Tournament and the Cougars had no answer for the Baylor offense. Did playing a high seed finally catch up with the Cougars? Is Baylor's defense being overlooked and could it cause issues for Ginzaga's high-powered offense?
We then preview Monday's highly anticipated National Championship matchup (34:29). Does the Zags size give them an advantage over Baylor? Or will the Bears backcourt be too much for the Bulldogs? Plus - who will take home the Most Outstanding Player trophy?
And finally, we wrap things up with the Women's Final Four (44:08) which saw Paige Bueckers and UConn fall to Arizona, setting up an all-PAC 12 Championship matchup against Stanford.
