Andrew in the Bible was a disciple of Jesus. Andrew was Simon Peter’s brother, and they were called to follow Jesus at the same time (Matthew 4:18). Andrew is regularly mentioned after Simon Peter, which suggests that he was Peter’s younger brother. The Bible names Andrew as one of the twelve apostles (Matthew 10:2). While Andrew does not play a prominent role in the New Testament as Peter, we can learn several lessons from him for how we ought to live our lives as followers of Jesus.
