Following the exploits of wannabe filmmaker Mark Borchardt, the film is an intimate portrait of a frustrated and struggling artist and his efforts to eke out a living, ply his craft, and grapple with his own personal demons.

Shot between 1995 and 1997, the film is a precious time capsule of the human condition in middle America.
