In today’s episode, I sit down with one of my very best friends and lifelong dance friend, Jill Krysil. Jill is a second grade teacher and a truly incredible educator and human being. She is so caring, so loving, and she has so much passion for what she does, and I’m so excited for you to learn from her today as well!
Jill is a presenter for Responsive Classroom which is a wonderful approach to teaching that has so much benefit for the dance classroom. Responsive Classroom connects deeply to the idea of teaching to the whole dancer, including the benefits of social and emotional learning that align with age appropriate development concepts. Jill discusses her top 3 pillars of Responsive Classroom in today’s episode . . .
We discuss behavior scenarios, praise, correction, and more!
This is a must listen for any dance educator looking to expand their practices in teaching.

As educators, we play such an important part in these young dancers’ lives and if there are ways we can build on a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment, I for one am all for it, and I think the ideas of Responsive Classroom can play a huge part in this.
Thank you so much, Jill for your time and love in today’s episode and thank you all for your supports and listens!
