With unique species of fish swimming beneath the surface, it’s certainly a place unique not just in Idaho, but in the world. And it certainly must have been a breathtaking site to a party of Mormon settlers who would arrive there in 1863. But they would soon witness a unique creature of an altogether more terrifying nature. But what was this monster that would hold not just on the people of Bear Lake, but the entire country?
