Episode 42 - The Empyrean. Canto XXX.
In this episode we have reached the final destination in Dante's quest for knowledge and understanding of the Divine Essence! The Pilgrim is welcomed by being tightly enveloped in pure light and love, and gradually receives a deeper and deeper symbolic vision, as he absorbs more and more of the Divine Grace.
He then sees the angels and blessed souls in their real home, the giant White Rose (Divine Love) which has a circumference larger than the whole sun.
Beatrice now indicates that her part in the Journey is soon done, as she is back to where she started, at the beginning of Inferno - when she descended into Limbo to talk to Virgil. And her last words are a prophecy for Pope Boniface VIII!
