This week, we're discussing the I-35W bridge collapse that occurred in Minneapolis, Minnesota back in 2007. This episode explores the true risk of allowing aging infrastructure to exist in a state of failure. Bridge 9340 was rated structurally deficient in three separate reports, yet was allowed to remain open in its current state, and with continued monitoring. As a result, 13 people lost their lives and another 15 were injured.
