On this episode of the Training for the Trials series Lauren catches up with Kevin Havel. Kevin lives in Chicago but runs all over the country while traveling for work. He is a member of the Second City Track Club and qualified for the 2020 Olympic Trials this past fall at the Chicago Marathon alongside a handful of his teammates. We loved hearing about Kevin's training and how he's worked his way back to a love of the sport after a tough period in college. In this episode we talk about his time at Stanford, how he re-found a love of the sport in his post-collegiate years, his Second City team and his training. I especially enjoyed learning that he doesn't run with a GPS watch! You can track Kevin during Saturday's race here (https://rtrt.me/atlanta2020trials/track/REBKD4WS).
