This week in Good Pop Bad Pop for Movies Brian talks about the new Channing Tatum movie DOG as well as a new science fiction thriller DUAL. We all watched Robert Eggers movie THE NORTHMAN starring Alexander Skarsgård. We also got a chance to see EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE now in theaters. Brian talks about seeing FATHER STU starring Mark Wahlberg. NIGHTS END dropped on Shudder and we review this horror story that features an online attempt at exorcism. The streaming service Hi-Yah! released a new original SPIRITWALKER where after waking up from a car crash unable to remember anything about his life, a man begins regaining consciousness in a new body every 12 hours. A new documentary about the resurgence of vinyl records dropped on video on demand with VINYL NATION. And a new horror film CHOOSE OR DIE has hit Netflix where a student who plays an obscure 1980s survival computer game in pursuit of an unclaimed $100,000 prize. After a series of unexpectedly terrifying moments, she soon realizes she’s no longer playing for the money, but for her own life.
In TV this week we talk about the new Amazon Prime series THE OUTLAWS starring Christopher Walken and Stephen Merchant. Amazon also released a new science fiction series set in the West starring Josh Brolin, OUTER RANGE. Apple TV+ has released all 4 episodes of the Magic Johnson docuseries THEY CALL ME MAGIC. A new comedy from the makers of Brooklyn Nine Nine starring Craig Robinson is out to watch on Peacock in KILLING IT. And a new HBO Max series TOKYO VICE has hit the streamer with Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe in leading roles.
In News we talk about Indiana Jones 5 quotes from Mads Mikkelsen. SEGA is developing a STREETS OF RAGE movie. Ben Affleck is directing a movie about the shoe company Nike starring himself and Matt Damon. And Netflix is paying $30 million dollars an episode on STRANGER THINGS season 4.
