The confusing case of Brittany Smith vs The State of Alabama is an intriguing true story in the name of the Stand Your Ground Law. 

Brittany sought out justice for her own sexual assault and used self-defense as her defense during the trial brought against her by Scottsboro police for the murder of Todd Smith. This case focuses on the harsh injustices a woman faces in a county court system that doesn't seem to care about her at all.
