This podcast is the first of a two-part interview with Dr. Deborah Healey, Emerita Professor University of Oregon.

In this interview, Dr. Healey speaks about her role in the development of Avenue Standards for Technology-Enhanced Language Learning (TELL), and how she thinks that these new standards will benefit the Canadian language teaching and settlement sector. She addresses how the standards will affect language instructors in their practice. Dr. Healey also discusses how her experience developing the TESOL international technology standards assisted her team with the crafting of the Avenue Technology-Enhanced Language Learning standards.
