A Louisiana lawyer was disbarred for lying about his car being stolen, attempting to evade service of a subpoena by claiming to be his identical twin brother and fabricating receipts and invoices.
(3) BEDTIME STORIES (Joan Rivers Award)
A British Columbia lawyer has been suspended indefinitely for failing to cooperate in proceedings relating to his sending salacious details of pending divorce cases to his wife as "bedtime reading."
(4) SOMETHING BORROWED (Hitchcock Award)
A Massachusetts lawyer has agreed to disbarment after borrowing more than $8 million from various financial institutions by artificially inflating his income.
