Dr. Louis H. Diamond, President, Quality in Health Care (QHC) Advisory Group, provides an overview of the HIMSS Stories of Success project. Through a case study format, this project recognizes healthcare organizations that have leveraged HIT to support the Joint Commission Safety Goals, the National Quality Strategy and the National Priorities Partnership recommendations. Stories of Success is co-sponsored by the American Society for Quality (ASQ), National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF). Dr. Diamond discusses the Standards for Quality Improvement Reporting Excellence methodology (SQUIRE) that was used for the submission of case studies and shares the process for case study selection. This interview was conducted by Dr. Jack Varga, Physician Informaticist, Veterans Health Administration.
