I'm 95% certain that Jon Arbuckle's bed-concealed abdomen is depicted as being more improbably bulbous and distended each and every time it is inflicted upon us. At its current rate of growth, some say, it will by the early 90s have expanded to fill the entire known universe. On the other hand, this is all just speculation; who knows if Garfield will even still be in print by that time?
