Secret #18: “Curiosity-Based Headline” Scripts

How would you like to have your sales team work 24/7, 365 days a year for you, without asking for breaks or a pay raise, and yet guarantee the same exact delivery of the presentation you set 100% of the time? Sounds too good to be true? Not in this day and age. The fact is, ClickFunnels, Shopify, WooCommerce, and many other platforms that make online sales possible are your team of salespeople. Your conversion rate might be lower compared to a real estate or insurance agent, but the revenue you will make will be many times more just because everything is automated.

So now you should be wondering how to craft great headlines. Because this is episode is so short, I’ll just summarise my top 3 tips.

Tip #1: Your headline is the conversation starter. Don’t aim to sell with your headline.

What people mean by “sales-y” is when you start by saying “Hey, buy this product! It’s really great for you! We are having an offer now!” Don’t do that. Think of your headline as the first words you say when you meet someone. If that person is new, you have to start a conversation, give a reason to, or set the context.

Tip #2: Model your headlines from tried-and-tested sources

If you’ve spent money on some product or service, especially if its from clicking on an ad on FB or YouTube, copy the headline, and change it to suit your needs. For example, I probably spent $2000 on Tai Lopez’s courses. In one of his emails, it said “Your $9903 discount is about to expire soon”. How I used it was to put it into my email marketing, “Your 50% discount is about to expire soon”. Once I plugged it in, it recovered sales on the first day. There’s no need to guess.
