Hysterical Blindness is a lesser-known HBO original movie from 2002, directed by Mira Nair and featuring a Golden Globe winning performance by Uma Thurman as the occasionally delusional Debbie Miller, looking for love in all the wrong dive bars. From the pitch-perfect depiction of 1987 Bayonne to the prestige casting of Gena Rowlands and Ben Gazzara to the quintessential Best Supporting Actress work from Juliette Lewis, this is an unsung gem of a movie.
