Things That Shape Us

Episode 44 - Delayed Gratification

Listen Later

Welcome to the Things That Shape Us podcast. My name is Jonathan Wymer and I'm joined by James Gary to discuss a various range of subjects that are all related to one idea: How those things shape our lives.

In this episode,
James and I discuss ONE THING that shaped our lives. People work really hard, and they're in pursuit of happiness. But at what point will they become satisfied and see the fruits of their labor? To us, it's about perspective and a little thing call "Delayed Gratification". It's a concept that not many follow, but has returned as a social trend since the past 20 years has allowed us to reach an insane peak of advanced technology and created a sense of urgency in our careers and life choices. Slowing it down, focusing on one thing at a time, and taking in that simplicity are parts of the formula. But ultimately it comes down to setting a goal in one particular aspect of your life and allowing time to mature that part of you. Wait until the end of the episode, so you can fully enjoy it.
