On September 16, 2009, Mitrice Richardson was arrested outside a restaurant in Malibu for refusing to pay her bill. She was released from jail later that same night, but never made it back home. For 11 months, there was no sign of Mitrice and the sheriff’s department wasn’t cooperating with her family. Mitrice’s remains would be found in a ravine, decapitated and partially mummified. Her death was ruled an accident, but family members don’t believe that to be the case.
