- Start by writing down Mark 14:51-52 (0:12)
- Cara has picked these verses for us to discuss (1:34)
- When I (Cara) was reading this verse, I had heard the man was Mark. Is that right? (4:50)
- The only time in Mark’s gospel where he refers to a linen cloth is in this instance and when Jesus is wrapped for burial. (8:49)
- The little details in scripture do connect to the bigger picture (12:51)
- The key in these verses is that scripture will be fulfilled (16:49)
- In these small details, there is meaning. When things got tough, everyone fled from Jesus (18:43)
- What is sad about this is that when Jesus was healing the sick, the crowds were after him. But when things got tough, they fled (23:06)
- It may appear that other people are in control in your circumstances, but they’re not (26:35)
- Many Christians think if they follow Jesus they won’t have any pain or hardship. But that’s not the case, and God has a plan (27:24)
- Did you like that I turned the tables around? (29:03)
- Even when we want to run away from God embarrassed or in shame, Jesus is there (30:29)
