Derek is a Nashville-based country singer/songwriter who grew up on a farm in Minnesota. He ran a dairy operation with his brothers before moving to Washington for college, where he learned to play guitar and started writing his own songs. After college, Derek spent time in Alaska as an Air Traffic Controller before ultimately making the move to Nashville to pursue his real passion...music. Derek's last EP, Barstool Saints (June 2021), was co-produced by Jimmy Robbins and Jonathan Singleton. Barstool Saints + a single off the EP, "Paycheck," were featured on the Spotify editorial playlist New Music Nashville + Apple Music' New on Country Playlist.
