"Guin Saga" light novel author Kaoru Kurimoto passed away due to pancreatic cancer in May 2009 & the latest is "Berserk" manga author Kentaro Miura also passed away due to acute aortic dissection in May 2021. Both authors may be gone but the story lives on. </p>
