In this episode, CJ speaks with Hassan al-Kontar, a Syrian refugee who has been stranded inside Kuala Lumpur’s international airport for more than 80 days. He refuses to return to Syria because he doesn’t want to be forced into fighting for what he described as Assad’s “murderous machine,” while countries he seeks safe passage are refusing him entry because of his Syrian passport.
