The season of Advent has encouraged us to wait patiently and hopefully for the coming of the Lord. This week, the readings give us the final set of readings in expectation of the birth of Christ. We hear the prophecy in Isaiah and its fulfillment in the Gospel. We also hear about the righteousness of Joseph and his willingness to serve the Lord with obedience and faith.
