Because We Love - Finding meaning after loss

Episode 46 - From Police Sergeant to energy work and coaching

Listen Later

In this episode Abbie shares her story of losing her mom and her sister, her dream career in the police and when it all changed for her.

Abbie is a former UK police sergeant -

serving six years

She was incredibly passionate about her

work and was promoted within three years, but fell seriously ill a year later from stress, burnout and trauma caused by events in personal and professional life.

On her road to recovery, she discovered a completely different approach to healing than the one that was taught in the police - working with the body/somatics and the nervous system

This became her new passion and two

years later, she walked away from what was once her dream job to run her own coaching business - guiding frontline workers to become more resilient to
stress and burnout using the same modalities that once supported her.
