Bio - Simon “The Mantis” Leotaud – Knife Thrower | Team T&T From watching kung fu “kick-ups” as a kid in Trinidad, I grew a passion for precision knife throwing. My journey began on March 23rd, 2023, with my first YouTube video — a step that connected me to the global knife and axe throwing community.

In 2024, I became the first Caribbean knife thrower to compete at the U.K.A.T. World Championships in England, setting personal bests and inspiring the launch of T&T’s first knife and axe throwing club. I’ve since competed in online world tournaments and returned in 2025 to the championships in the Czech Republic, ranking 7th in long-distance throwing and 51st overall among 131 competitors from over 20 countries — now alongside teammate Andre Mohammed.

Fueled by passion, community support, and national pride, I’m bringing the sport home to Trinidad & Tobago to inspire the next generation of throwers.
