We're back with Episode 46, and with the WHL season now underway, Dan and Mark welcome Red Deer Rebels head coach Steve Konowalchuk (15:48) to the show. Konowalchuk is a first-time guest of the show, and has recently returned to the WHL coaching ranks after a stint in the NHL as both an assistant coach and a scout.

Some of Steve Konowalchuk's accomplishments include:

- Former WHL Player of the Year with Portland in the early 90's.
- Former NHL captain with the Washington Capitals.
- WHL Champion Coach (Seattle, 2017).
- Former NHL assistant coach with Colorado and Anaheim.
- Former NHL Scout with the NY Rangers.

In this week's episode, we'll talk to Steve about his NHL draft experience, memorable teammates, opponents and life lessons learned from nearly 800 career NHL regular season games, and then his transition to coaching and the road to a WHL championship in 2017 with Mathew Barzal and the Seattle Thunderbirds.
