The scent hit him first. 

A nice fragrant floral scent. In a matter of seconds, it turned cloyingly sweet that it almost choked him. He kept his eyes on the road as his heart skipped a beat. 

Not long after, he noticed that cars on the slower lane were speeding past him. He was on the right most lane so why are the cars overtaking him? 

By right, he should be the one speeding and cutting the other cars but no matter how hard he
stepped on his accelerator, it refused to pick up. 

The car felt heavy to him.
